Health and Beauty Bodega

Working to bring healthy food options to our community has not been without its challenges. There’s a difficulty factor inherent to convincing people who have been trained to love “bad” food, to eat “good” food. We all know that eating more fruits and vegetables will help to prevent a laundry list of chronic diseases. But what we don’t necessarily realize is that eating healthy is good for our hair, skin, nails, and overall outward appearance.

So, our front shed is being transformed into a Health and Beauty Bodega; our goal is to emphasize and draw attention to the health AND beauty benefits of eating fresh fruits and veggies on a daily basis. Along with fresh organic produce, the Elephant Gardens’ Health and Beauty Bodega will feature health and beauty aids such as face creams, soaps, loofahs, candles, herbal teas, non-toxic cleaning products and more, all locally sourced.
